In recent years, more and more women have become interested in games. While that’s a good thing, a lot of gaming products are still male-centric, so it’s taken a while for brands to make female gaming accessories. Ladies, I present to you the Logitech G Aurora Collection.

The Logitech G Aurora bundle we received includes the Logitech G715 Wireless Mechanical Keyboard, Logitech G705 Wireless Gaming Mouse, and Logitech G735 Wireless Gaming Headset. They are white and simple, with RGB lighting. The keyboard even has a cloud palm rest. Since the collection was designed for female gamers, we asked our editors from the TechNave BM team to try the set.

Starting with the keyboard, our reviewer said the Logitech G715 Wireless Mechanical Keyboard was quite responsive, durable, and had a good click sound. Complementing her simplistic white design is the cloud wrist rest, one of the most comfortable cushions she has ever used. It is also relatively light at just 976g.

Since it’s a Bluetooth keyboard, you get the convenience of wirelessly connecting to a PC or other devices. You can also connect it via a USB-C to USB-A cable that doubles as a charging cable, which is included in the box. As you can see, it doesn’t have numpad keys. But it really saves space on your desk or when you want to keep it in a bag.

A few extra buttons on the keyboard

The typing experience was also impressive and smooth. Our writer had no connection issues, but it does have a bit of mini lag when not in use for more than 30 minutes. This is because the connection has gone into “sleep” mode. It’s also good to know that the keycaps won’t get smudged as easily, even if your fingers are oily.

RGB lighting is powered by Lightsync technology with blue, purple and pink LEDs under each key, producing 16.8 million colors. Somehow Logitech managed to make them look quite feminine, and it’s visually pleasing in the dark. As for battery life, our reviewer only charged it once and never recharged it in the two weeks she used it. But according to Logitech’s website, it can last up to 25 hours of use.

Rather “feminine” RGB lights, if that makes sense

Logitech G705 Wireless Gaming Mouse

Of course, the gaming keyboard isn’t complete without a gaming mouse in hand. Like the keyboard, it’s wireless but can be connected via a USB-A dongle. The G705 has a familiar design and is very comfortable to hold. It is available in white with RGB lighting that offers 16.8 million different colors. You can also set lighting effects like Verticool, Ocean Wave and Bounce.

Below the mouse is a switch, the optical sensor and a button to switch between connected devices. Then there’s a USB-C port on the front for charging. On the left side of the mouse, there are two buttons for your thumb as extra buttons and believe me, it’s much more useful for gaming than you think. The click sound is not quiet, but the mouse has an 8200 DPI sensor which is perfect for gaming sessions.

A good overview of the gaming mouse

Even if you don’t plug in the USB-C cable, the G705 can last quite a long time. Up to 40 hours, according to Logitech. Like the keyboard, our editor only loaded it once in the two weeks, so it lived up to her expectations.

Logitech G735 Wireless Gaming Headset

To complete the gaming experience, Logitech also delivered the Logitech G735 Wireless Gaming Headset to us. Design-wise, the G735 is similar to the Sony WH-1000XM5 and Apple AirPods Max. The white band provides a premium finish visible on the headband and ear pads. Of course, the main difference would be the RGB lighting.

According to our writer, the G735 headphones were very comfortable and light to wear, as they weighed only 273g. The headset features 40mm drivers with support for Dolby Atmos and Windows Sonic Spatial Sound, allowing it to deliver immersive sound for movies and music. Our writer said his ears didn’t feel hot even after hours, thanks to the cushions on the head ring and ear cups.

She also confirmed that the headset’s battery life can last for 56 hours with the RGB lighting turned off or 16 hours with continuous gaming sessions. Moreover, you can wear it at a distance of up to 20 meters without any audio interference. Besides the usual power button and microphone port, there’s also an audio dial and an A/B switch to balance the volume between connected devices.

You can bend the microphone, but it will straighten no matter what

Although it sounded good, she was unhappy with the microphone as it only bends for a while and then goes straight back up which can be annoying. The sound quality that was recorded isn’t great, but it still isolated noise well.

Conclusion – Good quality but at a price

According to our writer, the Logitech Aurora Collection is suitable for women just starting out, but it’s quite pricey at RM799. Despite this, the set produced good quality and a smooth connection for the two weeks she had it.

Working on the G715 Wireless Keyboard was a pleasant experience compared to other gaming keyboards she has used. Compared to the Corsair K70 Pro Mini Wireless, the keystroke sound and gaming performance is smoother without interruption. If you want cheaper Logitech gaming keyboards, you can get the Logitech G913 TKL Wireless RGB Mechanical Gaming Keyboard for around RM730 on Shopee.

The G705 Wireless Gaming Mouse is also quite expensive at RM399. But again, it’s still worth having one because of the ergonomic design and smooth connection for gaming. But if you want something more affordable, there’s the Logitech MX ANYWHERE 3 Wireless Gaming Mouse at around RM298 on Shopee.

Finally, the G735 Wireless Gaming Headset offers a satisfying audio experience, but a subpar microphone that’s less than flexible. Priced at RM949, this is indeed a stylish headset. But you could get a more affordable headset with better audio quality, like the Logitech G733 Wireless Gaming Headset, priced around RM699 on Shopee.
