But Australian actress Caitlin Stasey is back home this month, as she films the upcoming Amazon Class of ’07 series in Sydney.

The 31-year-old will star alongside Emily Browning and Megan Smart in the comedy, which has an all-female cast of 12 Australian actors.

The popular actress was spotted filming scenes in Sydney’s northern beaches last week, though at the time the nature of the project was being kept under wraps.

The series centers around an endless high school reunion with life and death issues.

When an apocalyptic tidal wave strikes during the 10-year reunion of a girls-only high school, a group of women must find a way to survive on the island’s top of their high school campus.

The series follows a group of former classmates, now freshly embroiled in a decade-old drama, as they attempt to survive not only the apocalypse, but each other.

The series is directed by award-winning Australian screenwriter and director Kacie Anning.

Claire Lovering, Sana’a Shaik, Sarah Krndija, Steph Tisdell, Bernie Van Tiel, Chi Nguyễn, Emma Horn, Rose Flanagan and Debra Lawrance will also star in the all-female ensemble.

Caitlin is best known to Australian audiences for her roles as Rachel Kinski in the soap opera Neighbors from 2005 to 2009, and Ellie Linton in the 2010 Australian action-adventure film Tomorrow, When the War Began.

She made headlines earlier this year when she announced her new career as a writer and director for female-run porn site Afterglow.

Caitlin has directed three erotic shorts for Afterglow, each focusing on female empowerment, intimacy, and sexual inclusion.

One of his films, titled U Up ?, also explores the idea of ​​intimacy during the COVID-19 lockdown by telling the story of a couple who have sex through their cell phones.

She joined Afterglow after befriending Afterglow’s Intimacy Coordinator and Production Manager Allie Oops, while they were both working on another project together.
